Poetry in Kite Tree!

April 25, 2012

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital!

It’s Lily at the computer today, and I hope you’re great in every way. I’m blogging in rhyme to have some fun, and to celebrate National Poetry Month which has already begun. Beary Bruised loves April because of this reason, and Ping & Pong and Day Z Girl love April because of the season. What’s cool about poems is that they’re always fun to write, and you can create them anywhere, during the day or at night. Poems can be short or long, and they don’t even have to rhyme. And they’re fun to memorize when you have the time. Poems can be about anything you’d like, from a dear old friend to a brand new bike! Some poems are serious, and some can be silly. My parents said they’re favorite poet is me, Lily!

Is there a poem that you think is cool? Or maybe there’s a poet you’re learning about in school. We’d love to read your poems because I’m sure they’re great. You can post them on our blog…we really can’t wait!

And last but not least, I’d just like to say, I hope you have a critterrific day in every possible poetic way!
