Making a Difference

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and thanks for checking out our blog! This is an exciting week because coming up this Saturday, October 27th, is Make a Difference Day! Have you heard of it? Cherry Ot told me that it’s a day when people all over the world lend a hand to help others. People spend time volunteering in their communities, and what’s super cool about Make a Difference Day is that anyone can do it. Whether you’re packing sandwiches for people who are less fortunate, picking up trash on a beach, visiting kids at a hospital (like me!), helping to build a house, or even walking dogs at a shelter, it’s a day when we can all come together to make the world a better place and…make a difference! That’s really the perfect name for the day. With everyone working to help others, there’s no telling what can be accomplished!

You can click here to learn more about Make a Difference Day and to find places to volunteer in your neighborhood. And don’t forget…have a critterrific day!
