Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and I’m super excited that Thanksgiving’s tomorrow! Thanksgiving is always fun, especially because we do a lot of Thanksgiving crafts here at the hospital. Have you made any fun decorations for Thanksgiving? Be sure to let us know! I drew a picture of a turkey with red, yellow, and brown feathers on it. Then I cut out pieces of construction paper to make all sorts of leaves that I glued around the turkey. The best part is that Samantha laminated the entire picture for me, and now I have a new Thanksgiving placemat. How cool is that? I’m going to use it tomorrow for sure. My parents and Max’s parents are coming to the hospital with awesome Thanksgiving Day foods like sweet potatoes, turkey, stuffing, warm rolls, and my mom even made delicious corn bread. What’s your favorite Thanksgiving Day food? Mine’s pumpkin pie! Yum!

While Thanksgiving Day food is special, it’s also an important day to say thank you to all of the special people in your life. It’s the perfect time to do something kind for others, whether that’s calling a relative you haven’t seen in a while, helping to feed those less fortunate, or even visiting people (like me!) in the hospital. Let’s makes this Thanksgiving truly critterrific!
