Winter Weather Wonder

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and I hope you’re all doing well. The first official day of winter (also known as the winter solstice) is coming up this Friday, December 21st, but I think it’s already started to feel like winter! What’s the weather like where you are? Is it snowing? Be sure to write and let us know! Here in Kite Tree, the weather has definitely changed from fall. The trees are bare, and there’s been some rain. It’s also dropped to a much lower temperature, and it’s much cooler here at night. I even added another blanket on top of my hospital bed, and I switched into my winter pajamas which are much thicker and warmer. One of my favorite things about winter is all of the accessories you can put on to stay warm. Whether it’s a wool hat, a long scarf, knitted gloves, or even furry ear muffs, winter accessories are fun to put on, and they really do keep you warm. And that’s the most important thing!

So from all of us here at the hospital, have a warm and critterrific winter day!
