Hey, what’s up? It’s me, Max, and thanks for checking out our blog. Did you watch the Presidential Inauguration? It was so cool to see the President get sworn in and listen to his speech. It’s like watching history come alive! Lily also liked Michelle Obama’s outfit and new bangs, and Jella loved listening to Kelly Clarkson and Beyoncé sing. They were amazing. And speaking (or singing) about the inauguration, here are some fun inaugural facts that Cherry-Ot told me:

The shortest presidential inaugural speech was given by President George Washington in 1793. It was 135 words.

The longest presidential inaugural speech was given by President William Henry Harrison in 1841. It was 8445 words.

President Thomas Jefferson’s inauguration was the first to take place in Washington D.C. in 1801.

President James Buchanan’s inauguration was the first to be photographed in 1857.

President William McKinley’s inauguration was the first to be taped by a film camera in 1897.

President Harry Truman’s inauguration was the first to be shown on television in 1949.

Every inauguration is different!

Bye for now!
