Love the Library

April 17, 2013

Hey, what’s up? It’s me, Max, and thanks for visiting our blog. Did you know that this week is National Library Week? And the theme of this week is Communities Matter @ your library. That means that throughout the month, libraries across the country are hosting special events and gatherings for the community to come together and learn and read. This year’s honorary chair of National Library Week is Caroline Kennedy. Cherry-Ot told me that Caroline Kennedy is the daughter of former President John F. Kennedy, and she’s also a bestselling author, editor, and a big supporter of libraries.

National Library Week is very important because it reminds all of us how truly awesome libraries and library workers are. Libraries house the books and tools that help us learn, grow, go on adventures, expand our minds, and challenge our thoughts. And the amazing thing about libraries is that all you need is a library card to enjoy the huge collections. Whether you want to check out fiction, non-fiction, a cookbook, magazine, DVD, or book on tape, the library has everything we could possibly want right at our fingertips. And it’s free! I’m so thankful that we can all enjoy the amazing things the library has to offer. I’ll see you there!

Bye for now!
