Keeping it Fresh

Hey, what’s up? It’s me, Max, and I hope you’re all having a great day! July is right around the corner, but before it arrives, Miss Soy wanted me to tell you that June is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month! With all sorts of fresh fruits and veggies to choose from, June is a great time to chow down on the healthy foods that you can get right from the vine, tree, and ground. You can even grow your own! What fruits and veggies do you like to eat? I really like strawberries, blueberries, and grapes. And my favorite veggies are probably celery, carrots, and corn. But what’s super cool about National Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Month is that it’s not only a great time to snack on your favorites, but it’s also the perfect time to try out some new fruits and veggies that you’ve never had before. Cherry-Ot told me about some pretty neat stuff like star fruit, gooseberries, dragon fruit, bok choy, kale, and parsnips. Have you tried any of those? Maybe my new favorite fruit or veggie is just one bite away. And maybe yours is, too!

Which fresh fruits and vegetables are you going to eat this month? Be sure to write and let us know!

Bye for now!
