Giving Thanks!

November 27, 2013

Hey, what’s up? It’s me, Max, and tomorrow’s Thanksgiving! Yay! Do you have any Thanksgiving Day plans? Here at the hospital, my mom brings a homemade holiday feast for all of us. She makes delicious foods like sweet potatoes covered in marshmallows, cornbread stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce, and my absolute favorite…pumpkin pie! Her pie is made totally from scratch, even the crust! Baking is really fun. It’s almost like a math equation. You have to follow the recipe exactly or else the food won’t turn out correctly. It’s fun to watch ingredients turn into something super tasty. I really like to bake, but maybe it’s because I like to eat what I’ve made!

But the best part of Thanksgiving is giving thanks for all that we have. I am thankful for my family, friends, the Hospital Critterz, and most of all…readers like you! It’s you who makes our holiday so special. Thank you for supporting us!

From all of us here at McPopper Children’s Hospital, we hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Bye for now!
