Tip of the Hat!

January 15, 2014

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s me, Lily, and I hope your 2014 is off to a great start! Did you know that today is National Hat Day? And in honor of this fun and funny day, we’re all wearing the coolest and silliest hats today. Nurse Samantha’s hat is full of green and pink feathers. (As you can imagine, Dr. Duck Ling really likes the feathers since he’s a duck!) The other Dr. Ling (our pediatrician) is wearing a bright green scrub hat that glows in the dark, and Max is wearing a red baseball hat from his baseball team. My mom got me a hat that is full of bright rainbow sequins. The hat’s really shiny, and I like it so much! The colors remind me of Mr. McPopper’s markers.

I didn’t really notice until today that there are so many different types of hats. There are berets, aviator hats, straw hats, sombreros, beanies, top hats, fedoras, helmets, cowboy hats…the list goes on and on!

What kind of hat will you wear today in honor of this funny holiday? Be sure to let us know! And don’t forget…have a critterrific hat-filled day!
