Goodbye, July!

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and I hope this last week of July is a great one for you. Since July is coming to a close, it got me thinking a lot about goodbyes. They’re definitely not as much fun as hellos! There are a lot of ways to say goodbye, such as, “See you later!” and “Take care!” and “See you soon!” I like those more than “goodbye.” But since goodbyes were on my mind today, Beary Bruised and I wrote a poem. We hope you like it!

Goodbye, July
Goodbye, July,
I’ll miss you so.
The sunny days.
The warm nights.
The clear skies.
The loud singing.
The booming laughter.
But the good thing is,
you’ll come again.
And I will greet you with a smile.
Because July,
just like summer,
will return,
And I will get to say,
hello, July!

We’d love to read your poems about July! Be sure to post them on our blog. And don’t forget…have a critterrific poetry-filled day!
