A Rose By Any Other Name

June 17, 2015

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and I hope you’re having a wonderful day. Did you know that June is National Rose Month? Cherry Ot told me that on November 20th in 1986, President Ronald Reagan named the rose the official flower of the United States. It’s probably because roses are so beautiful! Plus, many states have the rose as their state flower. I learned that Georgia has the Cherokee rose, New York has the rose, and Iowa and North Dakota have the wild prairie rose. It’s true that I love roses, especially their lovely smell, but as you probably guessed, my favorite flower is the lily!

We hope you have a critterrific rose-filled month!
