Women’s History Month

March 2, 2016

Hi from McPopper Children’s Hospital! It’s Lily at the computer, and I hope your March is off to a great start! March is always such an exciting time of year because it’s Women’s History Month. And there are so many incredible women throughout history who have made a huge impact and have broken barriers, big and small. Women like Elizabeth Blackwell (the first woman to receive a medical degree), Susan B. Anthony (a woman’s suffragist leader), and Rosa Parks (a civil rights activist) all come to mind, and their bravery and determination are truly inspirational. We would not be where we are today as a nation without these women. Even in the face of adversity, they kept fighting for what they believed in.

So on behalf of all of us here at the hospital, we’re wishing you a critterrific Women’s History Month!
